Church and School Conversion

Plainfield, Illinois

Studio SYM Architects provided assistance during the Zoning Change procedure for this property. The objective was to allow residential use on this site. This Zoning adjustment was ultimately approved by the Village of Plainfield in 2024.

The Church dates back to 1850 and is currently being studied to function as a restaurant, museum or apartments. The school building will be converted to apartments. The Building Permit was issued in May 2026.
